CSKA-Sofia captain Bozhidar Chorbadzhiyski hopes Reds will win BFPL title this season.
Reds didn’t start the season very well after a draw away to Slavia Sofia in BFPL first round and a defeat at home to Ludogorets. But a 6-2 and 4-1 wins followed against Plovdiv teams Botev and Lokomotiv, respectively.
“We all want to win the league this season”, Chorbadzhiyski said in an interview for CSKA’s official website. “We are trying to forget our bad start and the recent good results help us.”
“I don’t want to talk big, but I think that this season we have very good chance of winning the league.”
The 22-year-old centre back has talked also that he is extremely self-critical and is training hard to become an even better defender.
“I am the greatest critic of myself. I experience every mistake, any weak performance. Sometimes I criticize myself too much.”
“Nikolay Bodurov helps me a lot with his advices. It may sound funny, but at age of 22, for the first time, I hear about things that are unnecessary in my game. I have a lot of things to learn.”
About how he feels as CSKA captain, Chorbadzhiyski said: “I’m getting used to the responsibilities of being CSKA-Sofia captain. I’m here since I was a child and fully aware of what CSKA means. All this makes me even more ambitious. At CSKA you have to be an example on and off the pitch.”
