U21: Bulgaria defeated Armenia

Bulgaria U21 defeated Armenia U21 1-0 in an important qualifier for 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.

Group 5 clash was played at Avan Academy in Yerevan and Yulian Nenov scored Bulgaria’s winning goal in the final minutes of the game.

Currently Bulgaria occupies third position with 14 points from eight games just two behind Romania. Denmark U21 are already through to the Euro 2017 thanks to their comfortable 3-1 victory at home to Romania.

In the last round of qualifiers in October, Bulgaria are hosting Denmark on October 7th and Romania on October 11th. A win over Romania regardless of the result against Denmark will seal us the second place, which can get us to the Play-offs.
